Q5. How does NEAR stock up to other L1s in terms of speed and performance? How fast is NEAR, and compare it with other blockchain speeds in terms of transactions per minute and percentage of transactions that fail. 

So I compare NEAR by Ethereum and Solana. My comparison is started from Jan 1st 2022.

Methodology:

In this chart, I compared the speed of NEAR with two blockchains, Ethereum and Selena. You can see the number of transactions per minute on each blockchain per day.

insights:

• Solana is the fastest blockchain by a huge margin compared to Ethereum and NEAR, and the number of transactions per minute reaches 18.5 thousand. While the number of transactions per minute reaches a maximum of 350 in Ethereum and a maximum of 200 in NEAR.
• NEAR has the lowest number of transactions per minute among these three blockchains.

In this chart, I compared the performance of NEAR with two blockchains, Ethereum and Selena. You can see the percentage of failed transaction on each blockchain per day.

insights:

• Solana's high number of transactions per minute causes the number of failed transactions to be higher than other blockchains, as a result, the rate of failed transactions increases.
• NEAR Compared to Solana, its transaction failure rate is lower, but it is much higher than Ethereum
