NOT OFFICIAL Jupuary "Expert Traders" Tiers Simulation
Flipside AI
Jupiter's decentralized exchange on Solana demonstrates robust trading activity, generating $54.7M in expert trader fees across limit orders, DCA, and vault strategies. The platform reveals a sophisticated tiered reward system, with top-tier wallets generating 3.957x more fees relative to allocated JUP tokens compared to bottom-tier wallets. Perpetual trading fees are particularly notable, with tier 5 peaking at $14.8M and tier 1 generating $6.2M, underscoring the platform's strong derivative trading engagement and complex fee structure.

Exact methodology is unknown and assumptions made may not correctly align with the team final parameters.
Wallet ranking to determine Allocation Tier is made by Fees spent and not volume.
LO, DCA and VA fees are included in full (0.1% of volume)
Only the 25% Team share of Perps fees are included
Stable-to-Stables swap volume in LO and DCA are excluded
Stable-to-Stables swap volume in VA is included as they pay the 0.1% fee
Activity in Perps, Limit Orders, DCA and VA are fully accounted for this work.
APE activity is NOT INCLUDED
Not knowing the exact parameters the team is using, especially with sibyl detection and exclusion, a higher Ranking inside the Expected Tier is a signal of higher confidence that the wallet will fall in that tier.
If wallet is in the top 5% there is a high confidence in the tier estimation, with a sligth chance that it may step up a tier, when official checker is released.

As expected, even when accounting only for the 25% Pers Fees that go to the team, Perps Fees dominate all "Expert Traders" Tiers.
DCA is the 2nd most used Jupiter app, ahead of Limit Orders and Value Average.
The 85M $JUP allocated to "Expert Traders" is valued at $76.5M (current price of $0.9)
The $54.7M fees collected in LO, DCA, VA and 25% of perps fees are being returned to "Expert Traders" with an added bonus on top
Notes:
The value Avg. $ in Fees Paid per $JUP Allocated
is calculated as:
Total Tier Fees
/ $JUP allocated to Tier
Tiers 1 to 4 have an average comparable across them. On average a wallet had to spend ~$1.2 in fees wallet to get 1 $JUP.
Tiers above receive less $JUP, but each $JUP received was "cheaper" to get allocated.
The team has chosen a flat distribution for each tier, and this effect is seen with the gap between the Min and Max $ Spent per #JUP allocated, where the wallets at the bottom of a tier end up contributing less $ in fees for each allocated $JUP.
