GENE Staking Program

Genopets recently announced and launched its staking program for GENE its governance token. By staking GENE you will get more GENE, some NFT drops and KI rewards and some in-game boost and advantages. This announcement pumped GENE price about 60% up to 15$. • The amount of GENE staked over time
• How many unique wallets have staked $GENE since its inception on May 18th
• What percentage of those stakers have previously purchased a Genopets NFT
• What trends are you seeing with the Genopets NFT collection

Let's Start with amount of GENE staked since May 18th:

• On the First day 131k GENE had Staked
• Second Day amount represent the most daily growth with 120k more GENE staked
• Some people made use of May 25th and 26th decrease in price to stake more GENE
• As of now, approximately 600k GENE have been staked

Now going to the number of Unique stakers:

• On the first day only 126 unique addresses Start to stake GENE; this may be due to the fact that there was only few hours till end of May 18th
• Second day has the most unique addresses with around 1600 wallets
• More that 5200 unique wallets participated in GENE staking program since the beginning.

Who are these people that are staking GENE? Table below suggests that among all unique users that are staking GENE (~5200) more than 1300 of are holding a Genopets NFT or at least purchased one once. and that's around 25 percent...

In the end we have an interesting chart showing Daily sale for two genopets NFT collections that are available in flipside database, which are Terraform Seeds & Refined crystals. Let's take a look at chart so we can talk about its up and down more.

TerraForm Seeds Started trading from Dec 23rd 2021 and Refined Crystals from Dec 29th same year. There was no volume in Secondary sales since these all were free drops which nobody knew what is their actual use case and value. But this Changed from Feb 24th 2022 with Genesis habitat treasure hunt. people started to know more and sometimes tempted to buy these assets.

But the real change was with starting of beta playtest when people actually saw how these going to work for them later. They needed all 5 types of refined crystals + 1 Terraform seed to mint the genesis habitat and official support of FTX NFT market place at this time created a huge fomo and demand for these assets specially refined crystals.

Im not sure why terraform seed's sales increased significantly from April 27th but it may have something to do with publishing the genopets lightpaper which has some information about their utilities.
