The BentoBox (sometimes referred to as Bento) is a token vault that generates yield for the capital deposited into it. While there are many such yield-generating “vaults” in DeFi, the BentoBox is a little different. Bento’s innovation is its ability to track the user’s deposits via artificial balance, which is used to account for their idle funds, while the same funds are simultaneously applied to strategies. The BentoBox creates yield for these funds without incurring any loss.
As I mentioned, I examined Bentobox On Ethereum and Polygon. So in order to find the average deposit amount in USD, I explain two categories:
- Ethereum

- I used Ethereum UDM Events and filtered to address to Bentobox address on Ethereum which is 0xf5bce5077908a1b7370b9ae04adc565ebd643966. Also, i set '0x02b9446c', '0x97da6d30' as ORIGIN_FUNCTION_SIGNATURE. To eliminate small amounts, I removed all deposit amounts under 50$.
- Polygon

- I did like Ethereum. The only parameter that has changed is the Bentobox address in Polygon which is 0x0319000133d3ada02600f0875d2cf03d442c3367.
In this Analysis, You will read about Sushi Bentobox. I went through Bentobox and examined the average deposit size per user in 2022 and 2021 on Ethereum and Polygon Blockchain. Also, I checked the average number of Coins per user.

All data in this analysis is from January 2021 until May 2022 on Ethereum and Polygon network.
In the below chart, You can see the average daily deposits per user on Polygon and Ethereum in 2022. There are some Users that deposited on Polygona and Ethereum blockchains. But in total, it seems users chose Ethereum or Polygon Network. Let's compare together. The majority of Bentobox users used the Bentobox Ethereum network and it seems these users are depositing a higher amount in comparison to Polygon users.
The below chart is similar to the previous one but all metrics are based on 2021. It is hard to extract data from these charts but what I understand is that the average deposited amount in 2021 was higher than in 2022. in 2021, Token prices were higher than token prices in 2022. So we can't conclude that more amount deposited in 2021.
In the below chart, I drew some charts based on average Daily, Weekly, and monthly deposits in 2022 and 2021 in both blockchains (Ethereum and Polygon). There are some days the total daily deposited in the Polygon network is higher than Ethereum in 2022 and 2021 but in total, More amount deposited on the Ethereum blockchain.
Do not compare each chart together. These are based on average weekly and monthly deposit amounts. They could be differences in results. What table says to us? The average weekly amount in 2021 was higher than in 2022. The Ethereum is higher than Polygon.
The below chart shows the average number of coins deposited on the Ethereum and Polygon network in 2022. According to this chart, Most users used one coin not the variety of tokens to deposit.
The below chart shows the average amount of deposits per user and coins in 2021 both in Polygon and Ethereum. Most users used xSushi, Sushi, Matic, and USDC to deposit on Bentobox.

The below chart shows the average amount of deposits per users and coin in 2022 on Ethereum and Polygon. The only difference is Amount of Xsushi increased in comparison to other tokens.
You can see the top 10 users with the highest average of a coin. We can see VOLT, Polydoge, and SOS are the top 3 coins.
