Daily Active Users

The date parameters can only be adjusted in the Custom Date tab of the dashboard.

    Introduction

This analysis focuses on Flow wallets on the Flow blockchain and examines the total number of wallets on a daily and monthly basis over time.

The findings are divided into three categories. The first tab presents data daily and enables tracking of active wallets. The second tab presents data monthly and enables tracking of active wallets monthly. Finally, the Custom Date tab provides insight into any spikes in the number of wallets on the Flow Blockchain, helping to identify their reasons.

    What is Flow?

Flow is a blockchain network that aims to enable fast and cost-effective transactions. It competes with other blockchain platforms, such as Ethereum, which supports a native currency and a range of blockchain-based projects within its ecosystem.

The development of the Flow blockchain was spearheaded by Dapper Labs, a blockchain-focused company with a history of creating innovative decentralized applications (DApps). One of its most popular offerings is CryptoKitties, a blockchain-based game that allows users to buy, sell, create, and trade unique digital cats.

Dapper Labs has been at the forefront of the blockchain industry, working on developing various cutting-edge applications that harness the power of blockchain technology. The Flow blockchain is the company's latest project, and it is designed to offer an efficient and user-friendly platform for the creation and deployment of DApps.

    Method

To determine the number of active wallets on the Flow blockchain, I utilized the Transaction table and counted the number of proposers. In addition, I extracted the date of each user's first transaction to distinguish between new and old users over time.

Next, I calculated the Users Retention metric, which reveals how often users return for subsequent transactions. This information provides valuable insights into user behavior and can help identify areas for improvement in the user experience.

Finally, I divided my analysis into key activities on the Flow blockchain, such as NFTs, staking, swaps, and bridging, and tracked user activities in each area. This enabled me to understand better how users engage with the Flow blockchain and which activities drive the most engagement.
