In this article, You will read about Fractional.art vaults. We want to know which Vault has the most activity. What is the total trading volume? How many NFTs are in these vaults? I added my other data points too.

What is Fractional.art?

Fractional is a protocol that allows NFT owners to mint tokenized fractional ownership of their NFT(s). The tokens are ERC20 and function as governance tokens for the vault. Multiple NFTs can be placed in a ‘basket’ that trades with a single token.

Method

This question has two separate parts. First, I did some research to find out how Fractional works? Fractional has many differences in comparison the others like Opensea. After that, I used website hint, joined my analysis, and found the total number and volume of vaults traded on Fractional.

To find top traded nfts, I used Ethereum_core.fact_event_logs and ethereum_core.fact_transactions and looked for successful trade with 'mint' event name.

What is the total trading volume of these NFTs?

Ross Ulbricht Genesis Collection and The Doge NFT are the most popular vaults on Fractional. About 776 trades happened on The Doge NFT and 752 trades happened on Ross Ulbricht Genesis in the last three months. In Comparison to the other vaults, These two vaults traded the most. Feisty Doge NFT with 120 trades is in third place.

If you look closely at the below chart, You can see only three of them had more than 100 trades. The other NFTs are lower than that amount.

The above chart shows the daily activity of the top three tokens. These are some trends From March 25th until March 26th, 2022. More than 176 trades happened on March 26th, 2022.

As my result, Only three of ten vaults have more than 1 NFT in their collection, but the others have only one NFT. Punks have about 16 NFT. ZombieCat fractional vaults with 16 NFT in it and The other one is BAYC - the great floor sweep with 16 NFTs in it.

What happened to the other Vaults?

The other only has 1 NFT in vaults which means it's not deposited to the NFT basket.

I used Fractional calculator to estimate the total trading volume of these NFTs in USD.

With a 60M trading volume, The Doge NFT is in the first place. The second one is PINKS with about 17M dollars, and the Third one is Feisty Doge NFT with 7M trade volume.

I only showed the top 5 of the NFTs collection because the other NFTs don't have a remarkable number to put in the below chart. So I decided not to show them in this chart.

In comparison to each other, 68% of trading volume belongs to The Doge NFT. The next one is Punks, with 20% of trading volume from the top 10.
