Stargate Fishes and Whales
One billion Stargate tokens were minted at the genesis and will be the entire finite supply of STG. I Defined the terms fish and whale in terms of Stargate token ownership. Do you think What proportion of users falls into each of the categories?
All data in this presentation is from Stargate's inception.
Hold at least 100K STG > Whale
Hold at below 100K STG > Fish
I used ERC20_balance and converted the raw amount of the user's STG balance. Then separate whales and fishes in my category that was explained before.
Stargate is a fully composable liquidity transport protocol that lives at the heart of Omnichain DeFi. With Stargate, users & dApps can transfer native assets cross-chain while accessing the protocol’s unified liquidity pools with instant guaranteed finality. The universe is infinite with Stargate.
The below series charts show the total number of Whales and Fishs on the Stargate platform. As you know I defined those who hold at least 100K STG token as whales and below that number as fishes. In cryptocurrency world those who hold at least 1M of a token is whale but this definition works for Stargate.
The below chart shows the total number of Whales on Stargate. From March 17th until March 24th, Whales were grown, But From that date, the total number of whale users didn't change too much. Right now Stargate has about 139 Whale that holds at least 100K STG.
I talked about whales. Now it's time to see the Fish chart. The growth is similar to the Whales chart, but the numbers are different. According to the below chart, There were about 500 fish on March 17th. Like the whale's chart, The total number of users were grown until March 27th. In that time, the Total number of fish multiple eight times from the start. From March 27th until now, The growth continued but not too fast. Right now, Stargate has about 4842 Fish that hold below 100K STG.
In the below chart, You can see the growth of Whales and Fish over time.
According to the donut chart, About 97% of Stargate users are fish, and only 2.5% are whale.
