    What is OSMO?

Osmosis (OSMO) is an automated market-making protocol (AMM) that specializes in the InterchainDeFi movement and is built on its own blockchain, utilizing the Cosmos SDK and IBC technologies.

    Method

I Used the Osmo transactions table and count unique from address. Then I looked at Osmo's Twitter to find any news or events that caused an increase in Osmo's unique users. I'll explain each event and its impact on the Osmo ecosystem. In the end, I examined unique users per event.

This chart shows the number of unique active wallets on Osmosis per day since January 1st.

The most number of unique wallets that activated on Osmosis was on April 23rd with 61k.

The second day was March 29th with 60k.

For the first time, the unique active wallets increase to more than 50 k, on March 1st.

Since April 23rd, The unique active wallets didn't reach around 50k.

    • February 28th:

On this day, Osmosis announced the superfluid staking.

Superfluid Staking is one of the most massive changes in Proof-of-Stake at the current time–as of February 28, 2022, OSMO liquidity providers are now helping secure the Osmosis Zone. It offers a clever solution to the problems ingrained to a separate solution to embark liquidity issues tied to staking called “liquid staking.” Superfluid Staking solves the liquidity problem by offering liquidity providers to earn staking rewards. This strengthens the available network security of Osmosis while extending the utility of the OSMO token and what allows for “staking.” One notable downside to Superfluid Staking? Liquidity providers can’t vote with any OSMO tokens they’ve deposited into liquidity pools.

    March 31st:

This proposal is to develop and implement a multihop discount on OSMO pools to provide traders with the lowest fee possible and promote the use of OSMO pools. When a trade consists of just two OSMO pools during a single transaction, the swap fees would be automatically halved. This would result in cheaper transactions for all trades no matter the volume being traded as well as a higher proportion of the costs going to swap fees and so liquidity providers rather than being lost to slippage.
