The following charts, analyze the amount of gas that Uniswap trading has consumed. Overall the pattern has been relatively linear except for in recent days where we have seen spikes. Uniswap trading accounts for close to 3% of gas on Ethereum mainnet. While this seems like a small number for such a big protocol, I think that this represents how prevalent the protocol is because of how many various transactions go on throughout mainnet. In addition, trading isn't as gas-intensive as NFT trading/minting, which makes it all the more impressive to see the usage and gas.
