Osmosis Governance: 362 and Beyond
What is Osmosis?
Osmosis is a decentralized peer-to-peer blockchain that people can use to create liquidity and trade IBC enabled tokens. The Osmosis blockchain is made up of free, public, and open-source software.
How does Osmosis governance work ?
Any OSMO holder can participate directly in Osmosis governance via the Osmosis app or CLI, and any OSMO holder may submit a new governance proposal by submitting a small deposit which functions to prevent spam. Delegators inherit the vote of the validator they are delegated to unless the delegator actively submits a vote themselves, which overrides their inherited vote.
What is Proposal 362?
By voting YES, OSMO stakers signal their support for a 12 month renewal of the Osmosis Grants Program with Reverie continuing as Grants Lead.
By voting NO, OSMO stakers voice their dissent for a 12 month renewal of the Osmosis Grants Program.
The Osmosis Grants Program (OGP) has been active for 6 months, and is now looking to renew for an additional 12 months with some changes to the program. The details are outlined below.
