Osmosis & Stride
Methodology
- Establish baseline information regarding the active set: Collect data on the active set prior to Strides stOSMO activity including the number of validators, the number of delegators, and the amount of stake held in the active set.
- Track undelegations from Stride stOSMO: Track the number of undelegations from Stride's stOSMO activity and the corresponding validators that have been impacted.
- Track transfers to Stride stOSMO: Track the amount of stake that has been transferred to Stride's stOSMO and the corresponding validators that have been impacted.
- Track decentralization across the active set: Track the amount of stake held in the active set, the number of validators, and the number of delegators in the active set to understand the effects of Stride's staking activity on decentralization.
- Monitor changes to the active set: Monitor changes to the active set such as new validators, new delegators, and changes to the amount of stake held in the active set to understand the full impact of Stride's stOSMO activity.
- Track changes to the active set over time: Track changes
Introduction
Welcome to the Stride LSD stOSMO dashboard! This dashboard provides insight into how Stride's stOSMO has impacted validators in the active set. Track the impact of undelegations and transfers to Stride and gain insight into which validators have been the most impacted. Additionally, understand how Strides ICA staking activity has increased or decreased decentralization across the active set. This dashboard provides a comprehensive view of the impact stOSMO has had on the active set, making it easier to monitor and understand the effects of Stride's staking activity.

stOSMO on Osmosis
Analysis
The graph appears to show the total amount of stOSMO on the Osmosis blockchain, with a starting point of 1.27 million stOSMO. It appears that there is a net inflow of stOSMO onto the Osmosis blockchain, with the exception of the end of December. The largest day of stOSMO inflow occurred on January 5th, with a significant increase in the total amount of stOSMO on the Osmosis blockchain.
stOSMO/OSMO Pool Liquidty
Analysis
The graphs appear to show the liquidity of the stOSMO/OSMO pool on the Osmosis blockchain. The starting point is $2.16 million, which means that over 90% of the stOSMO on the chain is in this liquidity pool. This suggests that there is a high level of liquidity for stOSMO, making it easy for holders to buy and sell the asset. Additionally the graph shows the number of pool depositors on a daily basis, with a range of 50-300 depositors. It appears that the number of depositors has been declining since the start of November 2022. This decline in depositors may be indicative of a decline in interest or activity in the stOSMO/OSMO pool, or in the Osmosis project more broadly.
stOSMO Buyers OSMO Undeligation Activity / Stride Validators
Analysis
The graph appears to show the total amount of undelegated OSMO from stOSMO buyers since the launch of stOSMO. It is over 3 million OSMO. This suggests that there has been a significant amount of OSMO that has been removed from staking by stOSMO buyers. The second graph highlights the top validators that the undelegated OSMO came from which are Chorus One, Figment, and Larry Engineer. It means that the majority of undelegated OSMO came from these 3 validators. It's possible that stOSMO buyers may have removed their OSMO from these validators due to a lack of performance or other issues with the validators. It can also be observed that stOSMO is staking to other validators like everstake, cosmostation, staking facilities and Imperator. This implies that buyers of stOSMO are likely seeking better returns or different features on other validators instead of the one they undelegated from. This can be taken as a sign that the stOSMO buyers are actively looking for the best staking options and not sticking to the default choice.
Conclusion
In summary, the dashboard is monitoring the activity of stOSMO on the Osmosis blockchain, including the total amount of stOSMO, the liquidity of the stOSMO/OSMO pool, and the undelegations and transfers of OSMO from stOSMO buyers. The data shows that there is a net inflow of stOSMO onto the Osmosis blockchain, with a high level of liquidity for stOSMO, and a significant amount of OSMO has been removed from staking by stOSMO buyers. It also highlights the active set changes and track how it impacts decentralization. The analysis suggests that stOSMO buyers are actively seeking out the best staking options and the Osmosis ecosystem is experiencing growing adoption and usage. However, there is a declining depositors trend since November which may imply a decrease in interest in the project.
