The Eclipse Score

Invent an easy-to use ""Eclipse Score"", based on at least 3 metrics, to display validators who are not effectively representing their delegators via voting.

    Introduction

    What is Terra?

Terra is a trustless, programmable blockchain ecommerce platform that offers fiat-pegged stablecoins to provide more stability when conducting cross-border payments. ... By using stablecoins, the Terra crypto ecosystem offers low fees, instant settlement, and frictionless cross-border exchange to power retail transactions.

    How does Terra governance work?

Terra's Governance module inherits from Cosmos' SDK gov module. Within Terra, governance is the process through which participants within the network can effect change on the protocol by submitting petitions known as proposals, arriving at a popular consensus when a threshold amount of support has been reached for it.

    Observations

    • In the graph above the size of the dot is related to the voting power of the deligator.

    • According to the my Eclipse score the smaller validators in the top right corner will score the best because the vote the most often, have been around for the longest, and have a smaller delegation.

    • Many validord have been active for 7.37 Million Blocks this is because these valdaots have been active since the start of the terra Blockchain.

    Conclusion

    • One of the Validators with the lowest Eclipse score is Orion.Money this might be surprising because Orion is one of the most well known Terra validators. The reason for this is that Orion.mony has a huge amount of Stake and they have only been participating in governance half as much as the top participating validators.

    • Bi23 and LunaOrbit are the two validators with the highest Ellipse score. The reason that these two validators have a very high Ellipse score is that these are two validators that have a really small amount of voting power, but they are large participants in Terra governance and they have been validators for most of Terras life.
