What is AAVE?

Aave is a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol that lets people lend and borrow cryptocurrencies and real-world assets (RWAs) without having to go through a centralized intermediary. When they lend, they earn interest; when they borrow, they pay interest.

What is MakerDAO?

Dai is a stablecoin cryptocurrency on the Ethereum blockchain which aims to keep its value as close to one United States dollar as possible through a system of smart contracts and the decentralized participants which those contracts incentivize to perform maintenance and governance functions.

What is Uniswap?

Uniswap is a cryptocurrency exchange which uses a decentralized network protocol. Uniswap is also the name of the company that initially built the Uniswap protocol. The protocol facilitates automated transactions between cryptocurrency tokens on the Ethereum blockchain through the use of smart contracts.

Methodology

In this dashboard we will look at the activity of users withdrawing ETH from AAVE, MakerDAO, and Uniswap. For this analysit we will pull data from the ethereum.aave.ez_withdraws, ethereum.uniswapv3.ez_lp_actions, and ethereum.maker.ez_withdrawals tables of Flipside’s database.

Aave Ethereum Withdraw Metrics

Observations

• Since the beging of July there has been a small increase in the value of ETH being withdrawn from Aave, but this increase does not seem to be significant.
• There has been no recent increase in the number of users withdrawing from ETH From AAVE.
• The average Value of an AAVE ETH withdrawal has been consistently declining since February 2022.
• Overall it seems like the merge has not had a large effect on user ETH withdrawing behavior from AAVE.

Observations

• Since the beginning of June there has been a large decrease in the value of ETH being withdrawn from MakerDAO and the average size of each withdrawal.
• There has been a small recent increase in the number of users withdrawing from ETH From MakerDAO.
• Overall it seems like coming up to the merge there has been a large decrease in the eth withdrawal activity of MakerDAO coming up to the merge.

Uniswap Ethereum Withdraw Metrics

Observations

• Since the beging of mid August there has been a large decrease in the value of ETH being withdrawn from Uniswap.
• There has been no recent small decrease in the number of users withdrawing from ETH From Uniswap.
• The average Value of a Uniswap ETH withdrawal has declined a small amount in the past month.
• Overall it seems like the merge has not had a large effect on user ETH withdrawing behavior from uniswap.

Conclusion

• Aave
