When Do Transactions Fail?

Do times of high transaction volume lead to more transaction failures? Create a visualization that shows the relationship between transaction volume and success rate of transactions since May 9th.

    Introduction

    What is FLOW?

Flow (FLOW) is a high-performance blockchain specifically for creating NFTs, massive crypto games, and apps. Unlike general-purpose blockchains such as Ethereum, Flow is built to efficiently scale for potentially billions of people interacting with NFTs like in-game items. The native token for the flow blockchain is the FLOW token.

    Methodology

    • We will look at the daily transaction count and transaction failure on FLOW

    • We are looking to see how transaction failure and high usage are connected on FLOW.

    Conclusion

    • Between May 26th and May 30th there was a spike in both the number of transactions and failed transactions.

    • Most days on the transactions on flow fail around 10% of the time, but on days of increased usage the transaction failure rate rockets up as high as 85%.

    • The number of successful transactions on FLOW have been declining since early May.

    • it seems that days that have locally high transactions seem to cause failures.
