$ECO: Coin Age

Method notes: 1. One can select the preferred time unit (minute, hour, day, month, year) at the top left of the dashboard (it may be required to log in or create a new free Flipside Crypto account). Applying the chosen time parameter will change both the x axis (horizontal axis, frequency at which the data is displayed) and the y axis (vertical axis, unit of measurement of coin age). 2. Data analysis in this dashboard includes the ECO Gnosis wallet.

Mean Coin Age (MCA) is the average length of time that one ECO token has been sitting untransferred in a wallet.

Sum Coin Age (SCA) or Sum Coin Age Lost is the sum, for all wallet addresses holding ECO, of ECO balance held in each wallet * length of time it has been untransferred.

The unit of measurement depends on the selected timeframe parameter. For example, if selecting day, the y (vertical) axis will be measured in ECO-days.

Mean Coin Age by Balance represents the average age of 1 ECO token, calculated separately for wallet addresses with different ECO balance amounts.

    Balance categories (buckets):

    • a: under 1k ECO
    • b: 1k and more ECO, but under 100k
    • c: 100k and more ECO, but under 1 million
    • d: 1 million and more ECO, but under 1 billion
    • e: 1 billion and more ECO, but under 100 billion
    • f: 100 billion or more ECO.

Note: This chart is easiest to read when selecting a larger time unit as the parameter (e.g. month rather than day).
