Polygon Block Performance
daily block count on polygon
The next graph that we see is related to the number of blocks that are created and recorded daily in the Polygon network. Since the period under my review is June and July 2022, the graph in front of us is related to this time.
The number of blocks created in one day varies from 34K to 41K.
This graph and these statistics are the maximum on June 11 with 40.8K blocks and the minimum on July 17 with 34.45K blocks.
This chart has ups and downs that may be caused by the interruption of this network.
introduction
In this bounty, which is exclusively related to the Polygon network, we talk about the Polygon network blockchain. Polygon is one of the top projects of the second layer of Ethereum, which is very popular. Ethereum scalability problems can be solved by using Polygon and matic currency. The Polygon network runs parallel to the Ethereum network and has advantages over it, including lower fees and higher speeds than the Ethereum network. After that, we go to the blockchain Blockchain is basically a type of database that has high security and reduces the possibility of any fraud and error to a great extent or eliminates it in some way. Its mechanism is that information is recorded in blocks, and the sum of these blocks is called a blockchain or a chain of data. Blockchain first came to the cryptocurrency world with Bitcoin, and then it was welcomed by other networks due to its high application and security. Now, in this bounty, we want to examine the Polygon network blockchain and the capacity of each block and the time to create each block and...
Conclusion
The Polygon network operates with Token MATIC in the world of digital currencies and is cheaper and faster than the Ethereum network, and it plans to continue to improve its performance. But compared to other currencies such as Solana or Arbitrum or Flow, it may have higher fees or lower speed, which probably makes users more inclined to use those networks and currencies. Of course, with the strengthening of the infrastructure and the strengthening of the Poligan network in the future, this fee will be lower and the processing speed will be higher.
In this bounty, we also checked the Arbitrom network and found that the difference in time for transactions and creating blocks in the Arbitrom network is much faster and more accurate than the Polygon network, and it is not surprising if users welcome Arbitrom more.
After Polygon network, now we want to check Arbitrum.

In this bounty, we want to answer the following questions:
What is the average time between blocks in Polygon?
1.What was the maximum and minimum time recorded between two blocks?
2.On average, how many transactions are done in a block?
3.How do these numbers compare to L1 like Flow or Solana or other L2 like Arbitrum or Optimism?
daily transactions on polygon
The period we are considering in this bounty is the sixth and seventh months of 2022, and in the first chart we see the number of transactions that are carried out daily on the Polygon network.
The number of transactions ranges from 2 to 4 million transactions per day, which is a significant number.
Of course, there is a high difference between the peak and the bottom of this daily data, which may be caused by the disconnection of the Polygon network, which, of course, can be a weak point for this network.
In the other days of the analyzed period, this statistic was somewhat decreasing, and after June 13, when the maximum number of transactions was in one day, the slope of the transaction graph was decreasing and reached its minimum on July 10. Of course, this trend increased in the following days.
usual time for each block
The usual time to complete and form a block in the Polygon network is 2.25 seconds.
When we say that the block formation time is 2.25 seconds, it means that during this time, the information of the transactions that are done are recorded in the block, and then the next block is formed, and the information of new transactions and the hash of the previous block are recorded in it. And the sum of these blocks constitutes the blockchain.
the most time that a block of time
The maximum time it took to create a block is almost 25 seconds, This number may be related to the middle of July, when the number of blocks was also significant, and it may be related to Polygon network disconnection or other reasons. Of course, this number is an exception, and naturally, it is unlikely to be repeated on other days, except for network problems.
daily transactions per block
The graph in front of us is related to the number of daily transactions in a block in the months of June and July 2022. The highest number of transactions in one block is related to June 13, when 96 transactions were recorded in one block, and the lowest number of transactions occurred on July 10, and 54 transactions were recorded.
AVERAGE TRANSACTIONS per block
The opposite number corresponds to the average number of transactions per block in the Polygon network, which is equal to 75.8 transactions per block. Of course, these obtained statistics are related to the period under my review, i.e. June and July 2022.
the minimum time a block
And finally, the last value we check is related to the minimum time when a block is created in the Polygon network blockchain, which is equal to 2 seconds. It means that the minimum time it takes to create and complete a block is 2 seconds, and the information is recorded in it, and after that, it is transferred to the next block. This time is different in different networks and other blockchains
After Polygon network, now we want to check Arbitrum.
The Arbitrom network is located in the L2 and has a high speed, which is a satisfactory issue for the users of this network.
Usual time for each block
Arbitrum network transactions typically take 0.897 seconds. This time, which is even less than 1 minute, naturally increases the accuracy of information and also the satisfaction of users from this network. Now let's compare this number with the polygon network, which was equal to 2.25 seconds, and there is a significant difference between the time to create each block in these two networks.
longest arbitrum block time
The longest time it took for a block to be formed in the Arbitrum network is 247 seconds, which may be a better number compared to other crypto networks, but considering the average formation of a block in the Arbitrum network, it is almost a high time.
the shortest time to mint a block
The shortest time to create a block in the Arbitum network is 0 seconds, which means that the transactions are done at a high speed and satisfactorily.
I think this is an unprecedented time among Arbitrom's network competitors and I see a brighter future for this network.
Arbitrum transaction per block
The Arbitrum network records one transaction in each block, and this blockchain method is definitely very accurate and fast. If we want to compare this number with similar statistics in the Polygon network, we can see that an average of 75 transactions have been recorded in Polygon in each block. This difference is very significant.
