A lot of new contracts are being deployed on Osmosis lately. Since the beginning of May, answer the following questions: What are the top ten most popular contracts on Osmosis? What is the cumulative total of contracts launched on Osmosis, and have there been any spikes since the Terra crash or other noteworthy events?
Osmosis is an independent PoS blockchain hosted in one of the "zones" within the Cosmos ecosystem. It offers its own DEX based on an Automated Market Maker (AMM) that allows great interoperability between the different projects connected to the Cosmos IBC protocol.
Osmosis' approach is not only innovative but also necessary. To date, it has become the connection between the different Cosmos networks, making it easier for its users to move their funds while pursuing their own goals.
In this analysis I am gonna explore the top Osmosis contracts since the beginning of May. On the one hand, I will find the top 10 contracts by usage so far. As well, I will compute the top 10 contracts by each month since the Osmosis inception. Finally, I will take a look at the monthly contracts launched since the beginning of the network.
In this first chart it can be seen the top 10 contracts on Osmosis so far. The number 1, which is the first contract launch, is the most used one having 23.3% of the total transactions done within these top 10 contracts. It refers to the Osmosis.
Another important one is the number 678, with more than 16% of the transactions. The rest have a little bit less than 11% of the transactions.
The chart above shows the top 10 contracts over each month. It can be seen how the amount of trransactions done using the top 10 contracts vary depending on the month. The best month was May 2022 with over 1.5M of transactions. In the second chart it can be seen an animated chart showing the top 10 ranking of contracts over time.
To conclude my analysis, I have put the monthly new contracts launch on the network and the cumulative number. It seems like the major of the contracts were launched during the month of May. The total contracts launched so far are 485.
In general terms the key insights extracted from the analysis have been:
- The number 1, which is the first contract launch, is the most used one having 23.3% of the total transactions done within these top 10 contracts. It refers to the Osmosis. The number 678, with more than 16% of the transactions has been also important.
- The best month in terms of top 10 total transactions was May 2022 with over 1.5M of transactions.
- The major of the contracts were launched during the month of May. The total contracts launched since May are 485.
