The Router team was among the first in a long line of cross-chain projects to comprehend the problem of blockchain interoperability and propose a solution for the same. In January of 2022, they launched V1 of Router Protocol - an extensible multi-directional bridge connecting existing and emerging layer 1 and layer 2 blockchains to allow contract-level data flow across them.
