This graph shows the increasing gas prices since 01/2020.

If you compare desposits with gas fees, we see a very similar behavior. as gas fees increase, the number of deposits also increases, and in an almost identical ratio.

If we now compare borrwos with desposits and gas fees, we see a much stronger increase in the borrows. with rising gas fees, the number of borrows increased even more strongly over time. from this i conclude that the borrwos are used independently of the gas fees.
