January Tokers Where are they today?
Q1. Identify the top holders of the TOKE token in January 2022, have they kept their position today?
Behold! The chart above shows the top ten addresses holding TOKE in January. I used the average balance of each address over the month of January for this. The balance information is readily available from Flipside's famous erc20 balances table! (aka flipside_prod_db.ethereum.erc20_balances
). This seemed to me like the best way to define the top TOKE holders. I filtered for a lot more than 10 names, but when you use the Donut graph on Flipside's velocity dashboard, you can see how things break down and then filter for 10 or less slices. Ten seemed like a nice logical break, after looking at the distributions. I leave the tables in my report as an appendix, for those curious about breaking things down differently, or if an address catches their eye.
Behold! When I query the top balances using yesterday's date, I get an almost identical ranking!
-
9 of the top 10 are the same!
-
the top 5 spots have the identical rankings!
-
spots 6 and 7 switch places. Somewhat interestingly, they switched percentages, which is obvious, but they switched from 5% to 2% and vice versa so that is kind of interesting
-
the address in spot 8 was the same for January and today (OK technically yesterday but I mean today in the sense of "currently") more importantly it has the enviable address (for us TOKErz) of '0xdead000000000000000042069420694206942069' WTF?? I know you can sit and randomly generate a bunch of private key possibilities until you get one that kind of shows a word or two with maybe some capitals and some small letters and maybe a 0 instead of an o, but how did she do this??
-
the new holder of the #9 spot, the only newcomer to the coveted "Top Ten TOKE Tycoons" club also has the '0xdead' prefix, after which it is just a typical random salad of hex digits.
-
January's hodler of the tenth spot fell all the way down to ... eleventh!
Conclusion: Another scintilating analysis is complete!
-
We see a shocking similarity between the top spots in both order and in the percentage share.
-
We see some really kewl looking addresses.
-
we have created the foundation for the eager analyst to explore further
- the source of the addresses
- throwing down some sweet SQL functions so that the addresses look better
- finding out more about Tokemak.
I'd do it myself but then what's left for you?
