    What is StarkNet?

StarkNet is a permissionless decentralized Validity-Rollup (also known as a “ZK-Rollup”). It operates as an L2 network over Ethereum, enabling any dApp to achieve unlimited scale for its computation – without compromising Ethereum’s composability and security, thanks to StarkNet’s reliance on the safest and most scalable cryptographic proof system.

In this dashboard we will be using ethereum.core.fact_transactions table to see how many layer2 StarkNet blocks have been accepted on Ethereum (L1) chain so far, And how much fees have been paid(generated) to Ethereum network.

We Know each StarkNet block is registered on ethereum blockchain by means of a transaction emanating from the StarkNet operator: 0x2C169DFe5fBbA12957Bdd0Ba47d9CEDbFE260CA7 to StarkNet core contract: 0xc662c410C0ECf747543f5bA90660f6ABeBD9C8c4

So we will use 0x2C169DFe5fBbA12957Bdd0Ba47d9CEDbFE260CA7 as from_address and 0xc662c410C0ECf747543f5bA90660f6ABeBD9C8c4 as to_address

We will see following charts in the next:

    • Total number of layer 2 StarkNet accepted blocks
    • Total paid fee to Ethereum network(ETH)
    • Number of StarkNet accepted blocks over time
    • Total number of StarkNet accepted blocks over time
    • Paid fees to Ethereum network over time
    • Total paid fees to Ethereum network over time
    • Average number of StarkNet accepted blocks vs. Paid fees to Ethereum network per day

We can see on Nov 27,2021, 20 blocks accepted that was most accepted blocks per day in 2021. Also on May 12,2022, 33 blocks was accepted that was most accepted blocks per day in 2022. In general we can say number of daily accepted blocks has increased from May 9,2022 in average.

On May 11, 2022 most fees have been paid to Ethereum network by about 2.9 ETH that was much higher than other days.

The following chart shows that from Dec 3,2021 to May 10,2022 the average number of StarkNet accepted blocks per day remained almost constant without much change by about 11.5 blocks in average, While daily paid fee has decreased in the same time period.
