Overview

This dashboard represents gas fees on the NEAR protocol in two parts. The first shows the top gas guzzlers contracts over the last week and the previous month, and the second examines the significant features of gas fees over the last month.

Methodology

In this dashboard, we assume TX_RECEIVER as contracts and use the below tables for mentioned tasks:

1. Near.core.fact_transactions for calculating the gas fees and finding top contracts.
2. To calculate the transaction fees in USD, we use Near.core.fact_receipts to compute the price of NEAR in USD.

The Top ten Gas Guzzlers contract over the past week

The following chart shows the top ten contracts for gas used over the last week. In this period, Aurora, with 28.6M GAS UNIT, burnt the most gas among all contracts. The Nearcrowd (a service that allows people to earn Ⓝ by completing small tasks) and Zomland(a play-To-Earn NFT Collectible Game) with 4.81M and 1.2M Used gas units placed second and third, respectively.

If we look at the below-animated bar chart, we see the daily changes in gas fees that each contract used.

The Top Ten Gas Guzzlers Contract Over The Last Month

The following chart shows the top ten contracts for gas used over the last Month. The rank of the top three contracts is like the previous chart; in this chart, we see NEAR and USN contracts added to the Gas Guzzlers contract.

Daily Gas Fees over the last month

The following bar chart represents daily Gas Fees in USD over the last month. In this interval, 57.3K $USD users spent as gas fees on NEAR protocol, on average 1850 $USD daily. Between Jul 15th and 21st, we saw rapid gas fee volume growth that was about two times greater than average.

Average Fees Per Transaction

The following line chart indicates the average Fees Per Transaction over the last month in $NEAR. On average, 0.0013 $NEAR was spent as the gas fee for each transaction, and on Jul 16th, users with using 0.003 $NEAR per transaction spent the most.

Conclusion

1. Aurora, Nearcrowd, and Zomland burnt the most gas among all contracts in the last week and the previous month.
2. In the last month, 57.3K $USD users spent as gas fees on NEAR protocol, an average of 1850 $USD daily.
3. On average, 0.0013 $NEAR was paid as the gas fee for each transaction.
