Methodology

This dashboard uncovers the contribution that the SushiSwap DEX has had on the growth of the user base’s of Ethereum layer 2 platforms including:

• Optimism
• Polygon

SushiSwap’s Influence on the Growth of Optimism

The growth of new users on Optimism due to SushiSwap had an influx around the beginning of June 2022, peaking over 300 new users in a day, and has stayed relatively stable afterwards, the DEX bringing in only single digit new users daily.

Looking at the share of daily new users that come from the influence of SushiSwap, the DEX rarely contributed over 1%, bouncing between 0% and 1%, of the daily new users that Optimism experience since the inception of the DEX on Optimism.

The total number of new Optimism users have exploded since May 2022 where the total number of new Optimism users due to SushiSwap have only grown slightly since then.

Conclusion

Overall, SushiSwap has had very little influence on the growth of the Optimism platform, contributing less than 1% of the platform’s growth.
