Welcome to the Flow Ecosystem! We hope this Flow Scavenger Hunt will help you find an easy and enjoyable entry point into Flow. What’s This For? The best way to understand a crypto project is to get involved in it yourself. We at Flipside are here to help you do exactly that. This set of steps is your portal into the world of Flow (and all the data we’ve gathered to help you shine a light on its furthest expanses). Once you’ve completed these steps, you’ll be successfully immersed in the Flow ecosystem, and familiar some of its core applications — specifically the Dapper wallet, NFT marketplace Gaia, and some of its most popular NFT collections, including NBA TopShot and NFL AllDay. Preparing for the hunt You can pack light while chasing this storm, but you do need a couple of things to complete it: A Flipside account to prove completion; sign up here if you don’t have one. --FLOW Scavenger Hunt--- Get yourself a Dapper Wallet The first step in getting involved in the Flow ecosystem is, perhaps unsurprisingly, creating a wallet. This wallet will allow you to store your NFTs, and interact with applications in the ecosystem. In this case, we’ll be creating a Dapper Wallet. Here’s how to get one. To get a wallet using Flow Port: Go to the Dapper website and click “Continue to Dapper” Sign up for Dapper using an email address Follow the prompts on the screen to create your wallet Fund your wallet Next up is funding your newly created wallet so we can use those funds to buy an NFT in our next step! Access your Dapper dashboard Click on Payment Methods on the left-hand side of the screen Decide how you would like to fund your account Follow the prompts on the screen to complete your transaction Rip your first TopShot pack Now that we’ve funded our wallet, let’s get involved with one of the most famous NFT collections in the Flow ecosystem — NBA Topshot. In this case, we’ll be buying and opening — aka “ripping” — our first pack of NBA TopShot cards. Access the NBA TopShot website here Connect your account by clicking in the top right-hand corner Click “Let’s Get You Started” and follow the prompts on the screen to create your account Choose a Top Shot Starter Pack Click “Buy” on the right hand side of your screen and follow the prompts on screen to complete your transaction Buy an NFT on Gaia As the final step in our Flow Scavenger Hunt, let’s buy an NFT using the Gaia Marketplace. In this example, we’ll be buying an NFT from the Ballerz to match our new NBA Top Shot pack — but if there’s another collection that catches your eyes, feel free to choose something else To buy an NFT on Gaia Access the Gaia website here Click on the Ballerz collection (or another that catches your eyes) Click on the NFT you’d like to purchase Click Buy and follow the prompts on your screen to complete the transaction Create a dashboard to showcase your FLOW adventures The Flipside App tool will let you query blockchain data to view all the transactions you just completed. Open it up and click the New button to start a new Dashboard. This Dashboard will let you show off the transactions you’ve already done. To show completion and receive your reward, make a dashboard that shows off your activity on NBA Top Shot + Gaia Please note: When running a query to create a dashboard to show your transactions, please add the following: [ where block_timestamp::date = ‘2022-01-01’ (replace this with the date of your transaction) ] This would allow your queries to run more smoothly. Please do not set your query to refresh. --Get Paid!--- You did it! Now get paid for it. The Flipside App will let you query blockchain data to view all the transactions you just completed. Open it up and click the New button to start a new Dashboard. This Dashboard will let you show off the transactions you’ve already done.
