Sushiswap - Qualified Pools
Q. Of Qualified DEX Liquidity Pools on Uniswap and Sushiswap on Ethereum mainnet (where "Qualified Pools" have AT LEAST $100,000 USD worth of total value locked (TVL):
-What percentage of qualified TVL does each DEX have?
-What volume does each of these qualified pools have over the last 100,000 blocks?
-What is the breakdown of major coin volume across these qualified pools (ETH, WBTC, USDC, USDT, etc.)?
Introduction
The liquidity Pool term refers to a collection of tokens or digital assets locked in a smart contract that provide essential liquidity to decentralized exchanges.
Liquidity Pools are the game-changing innovation in decentralized Finance that facilitates trading on decentralized Exchanges (DEX) and provide liquidity through a collection of funds locked in a smart contract.
Liquidity pools are digital piles of cryptocurrencies that are locked in smart contracts. Consequently, faster transactions are made possible by creating liquidity.
A major component of a liquidity pool are automated market makers (AMMs). An AMM is a protocol that uses liquidity pools to allow digital assets to be traded in an automated way rather than through a traditional market of buyers and sellers. Liquidity pools are also essential for yield warming and blockchain-based online games.
SushiSwap (SUSHI) and UniSwap are common DeFi exchanges that use liquidity pools on the Ethereum network containing ERC-20 tokens.
As we can see the TVL of SushiSwap DEX liquidity pool is 223B, and theTVL of UniSwap DEX liquidity pool is 353B. So, the total volume locked in UniSwap is much higher than the SushiSwap.
Also we can see the 879 qualified SushiSwap pools, and 5900 qualified UniSwap pools. Here also the qualified UniSwap pools is much higher than the SushiSwap pools.
Methodology
- Get the Pool Names from the DIM_DEX_LIQUIDITY_POOLS by the Platform Sushiswap and Uniswap.
- Get the Total Volume (TVL) from EZ_DEX_SWAPS by filtering with the above pools on both Sushiswap and Uniswap platforms.
- Filter the Total Volume with greater than $100,000 to get the Qualified Pools list and their Volume.
- Get the Qualified TVL by summing up the TVL of Qualified Pools.
- To get the Volume over the last 100,000 blocks, Initially get the Max Block number from the table. Then filter the Qualified TVL for only last 100,000 (Max Block Number - 100000).
- Finally breakdown the Volume across the Pools using the Symbol field and breakdown with the Major Coins like WETH, WBTC, SUSHI, USDT, USDC, DAI, SUSHI, RUNE etc.,
Summary
- The TVL of Sushiswap Pools is 223053639968.48 and Uniswap Pools is 353340649095.161.
- The Number of Qualified Sushiswap Pools are 879 and Qualified Uniswap Pools are 5900.
- We can see that the Qualified TVL of Sushiswap is almost 100% and for Uniswap is 99.94%.
- Also listed the Volume of Qualified Pools over the last 100000 Blocks across Sushiswap and Uniswap platforms.
- Finally we can see the breakdown of Coin Volume across the Qualified Pools. We can observe that ETH has the highest Coin Volume across both the Sushiswap and Uniswap pools.
