Oct 7, 2024 - What is Liquid Staking? Liquid staking allows users to stake their tokens in a blockchain network and receive a tradable token in return, representing the staked assets. This lets users earn staking rewards while maintaining liquidity. For example, with the EIGEN token, users can stake their tokens on EtherFi or Renzo and, in exchange, receive a liquid derivative token. This liquid token can be traded or used in DeFi applications, allowing users to retain the benefits of staking while keeping their assets flexible for other financial activities.
