Cosmos & Delegation - Blockchain Eco system
Apr 24, 2024 - Cosmos stands out as a blockchain ecosystem crafted to enhance connectivity and scalability in the realm of digital currencies. Its primary goal is to foster interaction and cooperation, among blockchain networks utilizing a distinct consensus mechanism called Tendermint. The Cosmos Ecosystem comprises interconnected blockchains known as "zones " aiming to address the challenges of compatibility and scalability. By enabling communication and data sharing between blockchains Cosmos promotes an intertwined and effective decentralized environment. In the Cosmos network validators play a role in validating transactions and generating blocks. They are essential for upholding network security and integrity by verifying transaction validity and proposing blocks in a manner. Validators stake ATOM tokens as security collateral. Can receive delegations from token holders sharing rewards for their contributions. Engaging actively in network governance validators ensure growth and stability within the Cosmos ecosystem. ATOM serves as the cryptocurrency of the blockchain in the Cosmos Hub fulfilling roles such as staking, governance participation and facilitating exchanges, within the network. Delegations represent a feature of the Cosmos system allowing token holders to delegate their holdings to chosen validators. Those, in charge of safeguarding the network and confirming transactions are called validators. In exchange, for their efforts validators are. Delegators also get a share of these rewards depending on the amount they have delegated.
Comparative Analysis of Governance Voting and Staking Metrics on the NEAR Blockchain

Flash Bounty - 2. Governing the Cosmos
Jan 12, 2023 - Every chain is different so let's take a peak under the hood and compare governance performance on Osmosis, Cosmos, and Terra chains. How active and engaged are users? How many unique voters are there on each chain? How is voting power distributed? What chain has been the most active in proposals? Include any other relevant metrics as you paint a "heat map" of the cosmos.
Infamous 82
Dec 10, 2022 - Governance in the Cosmos Hub has gotten spicy, to say the least. Despite gaining the support of some of the most influential names in the space, Prop #82 was rejected after more than 1/3 of voters chose "NoWithVeto". Take a look at governance behavior surrounding Proposal #82 - specifically first time voters and vote switching. Is it possible to identify any key "swing voters" (ie ATOM whales or influential validators) that really turned the tide of the vote? Were any of them first-time voters? What is the average wallet size (in ATOM) of the people voting? Of the people who changed their vote? Further, is Prop #82 significantly different than other proposals from an engagement perspective? Analyze voting for Cosmos #82 vs. other recent governance proposals in the Hub. Has overall governance participation increased or decrease since Prop #82? Finally, have ATOM holders re-delegated their staked ATOM as a result of the vote? Highlight any interesting patterns in re-delegation activity.

Cosmos & Delegation
Dec 14, 2022 - Let's explore movement of delegation on Cosmos. When delegators un-stake from one validator and move to another, is there any pattern to where they re-stake? Are users more likely to re-delegate after their validator votes in a way they disagree with? Do they re-align their stake with validators whose values reflect their own? How do validator votes change over the course of a proposal? Share any interesting voting statistics you find. Examine any voting propositions here (example: Prop 82) as a use case to explore these questions. Aug 20, 2023 - NOTE: In Stride's diagram the "Total $ Received" only includes stATOM in the dollar value estimation, as stOSMO/stINJ/stEVMOS etc's pricing data are not included in Flipside's "osmosis.price" tables. The SQL query however will print the remaining stTokens in table mode. stTokens supported = stATOM, stOSMO, stINJ, stEVMOS (retrieved on 9/1/2023 as 95% of Stride's TVL)
Governance Voting and Staking: NEAR vs. Solana, Cosmos, Osmosis, and Axelar
Jun 16, 2023 - This comprehensive analysis compared the governance voting and staking metrics on the NEAR blockchain with other prominent networks such as Solana, Cosmos, Osmosis, and Axelar. The findings revealed that Cosmos had significantly higher voter counts and votes, while NEAR demonstrated a higher count of submitted proposals during a specific timeframe. In terms of staking, Cosmos and Solana exhibited higher cumulative net staking volumes, with Solana experiencing an increase in staked volume per staker. The token holdings of voters varied across networks, with NEAR and Osmosis having a substantial number of holders with over 100 tokens. Overall, these insights highlight the diverse dynamics and user participation observed in governance voting and staking activities on different blockchain networks.
